Veteran craftsmen are the creative heart of Scale Reproductions. Years of experience and creative skill pick up where technological leaves off to complete each scale rendition. Creating a museum quality model is not easy. Almost anyone can put together miniature parts out of a box, but fabricating a professional replica takes talent, skill, and precision. That's why Scale Reproductions employs the most exceptional craftsmen in the field.

Our creative staff of model makers has the combined practice of over 210 years in this trade. Scale Reproductions has produced thousands of scale models over its 30-year history. Some shops use low paid inexperienced students at the risk of less control during the creative process…Scale Reproductions does not. Our employees' backgrounds range from life long model builders to machinists to cabinet builders to mold designer. All work is done by our full time staff in our 7000 square foot shop right here in the USA.
Our artists are afforded a full compliment of the required tools of the trade-from simple hand tools-to a complete wood shop, vacuum forming machines and mold making equipment. Additionally, we have a 500 sq. foot automotive quality paint shop complete with computer controlled paint matching equipment.
The craftsmen at Scale Reproductions build custom scale models and prototypes of almost any type or design. We specialize in custom scale model replicas, prototypes, and mock-ups for the architectural industry (including detailed interiors), maritime industry, defense industry, aerospace industry, offshore oil industry and more. Other specialties are models of luxury vessels, engineering models (working miniatures, prototypes, and mock-ups), movie models and props, trade show displays, and heavy equipment. We also specialize in the 'unusual' projects. If you have had problems finding a model maker that can handle your project, contact us. Our people are accustomed to working with new ideas and concepts. We can help the inventors to prototype their inventions as well. The team members of our company have backgrounds which allow us to work in many different areas of expertise. We also offer laser cutting and CNC routing services. Our computer lab is able to help you with your 2D or 3D drawing requirements. Our rapid prototyping service offers the benefit of being able contract with us for a realistic museum quality finished product. We also offer service to companies who need their miniatures either repaired or modified (even if not originally purchased from our modeling company). |
